Apparently this is the 20th Anniversary edition and the last issue of POP edited by Katie Grand it comes out on November 18th in the UK. The previous issue featuring Drew produced some very striking images and is something of a collectors item now.

The image on the latest cover seems more DREW than the last one and its one of my fave images of recent times its not too arty or glam (or mumsy) its amost retro-rebellious hippy glamour Drew with the moody look and that outfit and its balanced with the loving way she's holding the rabbit. Thats one bunny thats not going to be boiled. By anyone! Its more likely to be followed down a hole into wondrewland. Look forward to seeing whats inside this issue!

Thanks for the notice Di thumbsup.gif

Should be an ESSENTIAL mag to add to the collection

Oh my GOD! I just randomly came across a picture of the cover on another site & almost had a heart attack! This is one of my most favorite Drew covers in YEARS! There's something just vintage D about the whole thing. Holy crap I can't wait to see the rest of the photos!

ETA: Also it very clearly says on the bottom of the picture "1 of 2 covers"!! biggrin.gif

How did that happen? Is the mag out now?

I'm saving the article till I get a copy of the mag but thats great that its available to read - the photos are fantastic. The poses are very Drew - almost bad girl girl Drew. Don't know why but I love the crazy poses she throws in. The one with the bottle and tongue ha ha and the arms over the table is a great shot. The bunny pics are beautiful

thanks.gif

A definite must buy.

I forget this is the Official site sometimes. I think I'm still on the Drew Barrymore Collective.

Not as expensive as trying to get it at a later date perhaps.
The autumn/winter edition of POP from 2005 is on e-bay for $24.50 ( plus $32 postage) ohmy.gif

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/POP-Fashion-Magazine...p3286.m63.l1177

I'll get a spare copy of the latest POP in case anyone wants one.

Do you know what date it will be available in the US?

They sell the Pop Magazine at the Newstand in Burbank, CA on San Fernando so I'm going to keep a look out for it. Can't wait!

The pics tell the story or does the story tell the pics. Did anyone read the article? I see she mentiond polar bears, oh boy, those are my favorite. They live at the top of the world, that must mean something, powerful, independent, something like I am the greatest, top of the world. I have to agree. I feel edgy using the word I at Ms. Barrymore's site because it's not my site. She and her family have been the stars of theatre, film and she excels at voices of dogs. It all comes under entertaining people. I have a story though and I can't decide if it's entertainment or what. Kinda like when the dog bit Drew. It goes like this... I was in the see thru tunnel in a polar bear exhibit and it was filled to capacity, around 100 people inside and I stepped in to start my shift when a bear weighing close to 1000 lbs. hopped on top of the tunnel and sat over the top of me. It's funny when animals do things people think are cute things, you know, like sitting on me, only this time the bear rocks on top of me while it's in the squat position. I move a little to get through the crowd and the bear moves along with me. blush.gif The people were going crazy, hollering, roaring, screaming and pointing at the bear and all the noise and activity below didn't matter, it just kept doing it's gentle rocking, up and down yes.gif . You don't get that type of response from animals and people anywere. laugh.gif All I know is they must be a very smart animal, wanting me for a father, wouldn't you agree? It's suprising no one got out a camera and filmed it live. Don't think those bears are cold, it was hott. woot.gif The animals don't use a script so no one knows where they come from spiritually. I think there is an old saying in showbiz, something about animals and children, you never know what they will do. The exhibit I am in was built and opened this century and is the exhibit that will be the beginning of the new polar bear exhibits everywhere and the old will be replaced by the new eventually. It has won awards for being the very best exhibit of it's kind. I have never been to see the bears in Central Park but I would say it is an old exhibit and will be replaced some day with something better. Just had to write this semi-entertaining story here today, I couldn't resist getting it in. I call it semi because the bear is as big as a truck. wink.gif It was eye-popping reading. thumbsup.gif I mean Drew's article! huh.gif

I'm planning on reading the article on Drew when I get the magazine but I enjoyed your entertaining Polar Bear story BL. Sounds like the Bear wanted to get know you better. Did it get a second date? One things for sure the bear was smarter than the people hollering screaming and pointing. Thats pretty cool that you get so close to those creatures. They look cute but they I guess they are pretty dangerous if you don't respect them?

Now I'm wondering what Drews been saying about Polar Bears...
