Have you ever seen the movie "I Shot Andy Warhol" with Lili Taylor? It's got to be one of my favorite movies. Valerie Solanas was a big inspiration of mine back in 2004 when I was making my big break for the city. Of course Lili is from Chicago and an awesome actress I must say. Drew have you ever worked with Lili? Was she in Bad Girls? Don't know! Any how back in 2004 I felt Valerie's ghost with me when I became homeless. She was kind of a vagrant also crazy. One of my shortcomings but a genius to say the least. So everybody I urge you to waych the movie, "I shot andy warhol" You'll love it!!!!

Sometimes I wonder if Andy is really worth noting? I've seen the movie, and now there's Factory Girl, seeing Warhol as stripping away the fasade putting something back in its place. A thought that artists become synonymous for their works doesn't really jibe? Looking only reflects on the viewers perception of the time.

Andy Warhol is famous for saying in the future everyone will be famous for 15 minutes. Does 15 minutes of fame qualify as fame? Dunno but I'm one of those who think Andy Warhols 15 minutes of fame have outstayed their welcome. Perhaps the person who shot him thought the same. lol

'I Shot Andy Warhol' sounds like it might be an interesting film to check out though I've not seen it yet and don't know much about Valerie Solanas except that shes said to have hated men with a passion. I'm concerned that you see her as an inspiration Shayla. I hope you don't hate men. I'm a man. Sorta.

Don't think Drew has worked with Lilli Taylor her character in Bad Girls was called Lilly so perhaps you made some kind of connection with the name.

When Drew was growing up Andy's works were a topic of some discussion for creating the information highway? What stood out was not knowing what it meant...

Warhol was an artist and left some memorable images but he does get me thinking about what art is and if its just about publicity and promoting to the 'right' people. Anyone can click a couple of buttons on a computer these days and create a work of art

Is it the fame the marketting promotion and intellectisation of art and the artist that makes a work of art valid or is it the actual work or the concept??

Perhaps he should have said in the future eveyone will be Andy Warhol in 15 minutes. About time it would take to photoshop a photo. Thats more realisitic than in the future everyone will be famous - if everyone was famous there wouldn't be any famous people because we'd all be the same. Even if it was for 15 minutes. We'd be a world of anymously famous people.

I used to work at a screen printers - to be honest his stuff looks like the stuff we threw in the bin. lol Oh Philistine!
