Hollywood sweetheart Drew Barrymore has signed up to star alongside veteran actress Jessica Lange in Grey Gardens, a film based on the story of two of Jacqueline Kennedy's eccentric relatives.

In the film, Barrymore is set to play the role of Little Edie, while Lange will play her mother, Big Bouvier Beale, who was apparently the cousin and aunt of Kennedy Onassis.

The film follows the eccentric pair who made headlines after kicking up a fuss in opposition to the health department's threats to raid their respective homes.
