WFP has a dream: to feed 10 million more hungry school children in Africa by Thanksgiving Day.
Even a small donation will go a long way. Porridge, rice or beans -- it takes just 25 cents to fill one of the Red Cups that WFP uses to give hungry kids regular school meals. This food will not only feed bodies but also minds and transform lives. Join WFP Ambassador against Hunger Drew Barrymore and help us Fill the Cup.
In May 2007, Drew was announced as a World Food Programme Ambassador Against Hunger. Drew’s involvement with the WFP began in 2005, when she, documented by Marie Claire magazine as part of their “World Hunger Campaign”, travelled to Kenya to witness first-hand the poverty and living situations of the area. In March 2007, Drew returned to Africa with WFP’s Ambassador Against Hunger Paul Tergat. Drew shot documentary footage while there, a clip of that footage can be seen here.
